Ghost Dance

My tribute to the Ghost Dance religion that swept through the native peoples of the North American continent from the middle 1800's to the early 1900's (and maybe still celebrated in parts today?), and to the massacre of Wounded Knee. I put in tidbits of the religion's stories and practices, plus the poem 'We stand young warriors' by the National Congress of American Indians which reads:

'We stand young warriors
in the circle
At dawn all storm clouds disappear
The future brings all hope and glory,
Ghost dancers rise Five-hundred years.'

I drew this pic way back when I was still shading skin tones with dry marker... I miss that ^_^ (and it's drawn entirely in marker)
