Sci-Fi Art: "Hermes"

Hermes

This is the trickster god Hermes. Best known as the fleet-footed messenger of the Greek gods, he has many other powers as well. He guides the dead to the afterlife, oversees commerce, communication, and learning, is the patron of travellers, inspires oratory and cleverness, bestows sleep and guides through dreams, helps out thieves, and was even thought to have given humans the Hermetica/Books of Thoth (the Greco-Egyptian foundation for most Western esoteric philosophy today). I tried to make him look both wise and mischievous at the same time ^_~. I know his wand looks neither like a caduceus or the symbol for Mercury, but is because I was going for some hybrid between the two. Were I to re-draw it, I would add a perpendicular bar under the circle to make it resemble Mercury more. This is drawn in marker and pencil.
