DMC - Leviathan

After trudging through the murky innards of Leviathan, you finally make your way to its heart. Three lifebars?? Ack!! The heart is encased in protective armor in the center of the room, flanked by a bluish organ on the right and a reddish organ on the left. The long healthbar on top corresponds to the heart itself, while the left and right healthbars correspond to the blue and red organs respectively. Pick an organ and attack it until its health is at zero, then the heart's armor will temporarily open, revealing the vulnerable green core. Devil Trigger and attack before it seals up again, the side organ will regenerate, and you get to repeat the process.

The core can fight back, however, so it does make a difference which organ you choose to attack in order to draw it out. There will be Envy monsters on you while you're attacking the organs. Avoid killing them, but if you do, one of the organs will absorb the orbs they release. If you are attacking the blue/right organ, the left organ will absorb the orbs until it reaches maximum capacity. Then the core of the heart will come out glowing red instead of green, and shoot Horizontal Lasers crisscrossing in the air. Jump over these. If you are attacking the red/left organ, the right organ will absorb the orbs and the core of the heart will come out glowing purple instead of green. It will send Homing Electricity Balls at you that damage upon impact, so run away from them until they either dissipate or explode against the Envies. It is generally advised to attack the right/blue organ because it is easier to damage and avoids triggering the lightning balls.

The heart core becomes vulnerable any time it reveals itself, but it is far more dangerous to fight it while it is in attack mode. So if you choose to try, make sure to stay high over the red/purple-glowing core to avoid its attacks (easier if it's the lasers).

Horizontal Lasers (by Red Organ, if you're attacking Blue Organ): when the organ on the right absorbs enough orbs from fallen Envies, the heart core at the center will open up glowing red and shoot laser beams horizontally across the screen. They will crisscross twice so jump over them.

Homing Electricity Balls (by Blue Organ, if you're attacking Red Organ): when the organ on the left abrorbs enough orbs from fallen Envies, the heart core at the center will open up glowing purple and send homing balls of lightning after you that damage upon impact. Run away from them until they dissipate or collide with the Envies.
