...Lady (mission 16) | |
Dante is hardly phased by
bullets, so few of Lady's attacks can do much
damage to him. It is easy to become careless when fighting her, but
her pelting bullets add up over time, and her speed makes her an
annoyingly formidable opponent. You almost have to use Quicksilver style
to make the most of any opportunity you get to corner her. Either that
or Trickster style for better mobility. The only time she stands still
out in the open is when you hear her say "get ready!" This
means she is preparing for an attack, so jump her and interrupt whatever
she's doing. She will keep
running around, swinging away on her grappling hooks, hiding behind
pillars and on top of bookshelves. It is a good idea to break some of
the bookshelves before the battle for higher visibility. I can't keep track of half of her attacks, and frankly, I don't care. My only concern is chasing her down. Moves designed to rapidly close distance, like Rebellion's Stinger, are ideal. However, a lot of Lady's shots can blow Dante back, so it's good to dodge her missiles and such if you want to get close to her. Her Grenades, though considerably painful, glow red before they explode and are easy to avoid. She typically throws them when she strings away on her grappling hooks, followed by a rain of Knives. Keep moving and they shouldn't graze you. |

Grenades: Lady throws a handful of little spherical objects at
Dante, typically as she's pulling away on her grappling hook. They glow
red before they are about to explode, and cause considerable damage if
you get caught in their blast. Jump away. Knives: these usually follow the Grenades and rain down on Dante from above as Lady pulls away on her grappling hook. Stay mobile to avoid them. Bullets/Missiles: Lady can, umm, shoot... stuff. Yeah. back to bosses list back to DMC page
