Time Force - Episode 12 - Worlds Apart (Yaoi style)
ERIC: "Long time no see, Wes."
WES: "*smile* Eric! What are you doing here? *stretches out hand*"
ERIC: "*folds hands behind back and withdraws* We're with the Silver Guardians.
We protect the city now. And you?"
WES: "I'm just... hanging out with my friends."
ERIC: "Life's one big vacation for you. I've got work to do, see ya around..."
Wes and Eric's relationship falls into one of the most common pairing patterns - RIVALRY! They've been competing with each other since prep school and when they meet up years later, Eric doesn't even return Wes' friendly handshake. This puts them into arguably the funnest rivalry pairing pattern - One-Sided Rivalry!

In this kind of relationship, one partner is outgoing, cheerful, and conspicuously patient with the other partner. This is the pursuer, who doesn't mind being emotionally vulnerable to make the relationship work. The other partner who is typically reserved, ambitious, and stubbornly antagonistic - that is, playing hard to get. ^_~ They just can't stop thinking about each other - whether to outdo the other partner (ie: who gets to be on top) or to win their friendship. The colder partner usually has a lot of insecurities to work through before he can open up to the warmer partner's persistent advances.

After Eric runs off to join the other Silver Guardians in their matching black SUVs, Wes explains to his friends: "That's Eric, we went to prep school together... We're not exactly friends. In prep school we trained in Karate together. He was a great fighter! He always had something to prove. And then one day, I heard he quit..."

Prep school flashback time!!
Wes gives Eric a pwesent! AWWW >^.^<

Wes has had a privileged life. His father being filthy rich secures him a place in the most elite of cliques. When a classmate invites Wes to a yacht party, both he and Eric want to come. But Eric is told that this is a private boat party and he's not invited. OUCH. Eric gets up and leaves.
But never fear! Wes chases Eric down! "Eric, wait!" he shouts. There really should be a drinking game for that line because Wes says it very often. Lets keep a tally of it, shall we?

"Eric, wait, hold up! You know, I'm not going either! So... how about we find something else to do?"... together... *_*

Eric saw Wes' apathy to his social and financial advantages as a weakness, a catastrophic misuse of resources, and an insult. He resented the fact that Wes was so eager to abandon everything he himself would do anything to achieve. "You might've been given all the breaks, but we'll see who ends up on top"..... oh really...?

One day, Eric got fed up and decided to quit prep school. Wes ran after Eric as usual, "Eric, hey, wait up!"

Eric didn't feel like being in a school where lazy rich kids waste their time, he had bigger plans! Wes was sad... ;_;

Fast forward a few years and the Silver Guardians are getting their ass handed to them by a mutant. Wes jumps in to protect them and takes a big hit that cracks his helmet.

ERIC: "Wes??"

OK, how the HELL did he recognize Wes after such a long time from just some shaded eyes inside a mask??..... unless he had spent far longer gazing into those beautiful eyes in prep school than any straight man should!

Wes is badly hurt, but tries to keep fighting.
