Trey was a brilliant Navigator who got overwhelmed by mounting
pressures of the mission and made one silly mistake. He forgot to
realign the solar shield after changing the ship's course, resulting
in the destruction of the Oxygen Garden and the death of Icarus
II's beloved Captain Kaneda. Worst of all, it jeopardized the single
most important project ever launched by humanity, potentially
dooming trillions of life forms to a cold, dark death. It doesn't get
worse than that, it just doesn't! This guilt ate away at him until it led
to his apparent suicide. He probably would've been happy to know that
this act made it possible for the rest of the crew to complete the mission.
